Radio, Radio

Inspired Inspired by a recent series of blog posts by Luke Sullivan, I revisited my radio reel. Frankly, it hasn’t seen the light of day in years because I haven’t been getting hired to write spots. It's all about the digital these days.

This is significantly different from the beginning of my career (late 90s) where I did almost nothing but radio. Highlights included Bob Villa being difficult, Rachel Dratch being confused and more whacka whacka moments.

Anyhow, here’s a favorite bit of spec work I did a few years back with the amazing Tim Dadabo. This campaign—there were two other spots, as well as print—has always held a special place in my black heart. The shop I worked for won the business, but the creative was never produced. *sigh*

  1. ah, radio. I listen to AM radio for the news all of the time, and swear most of the ads you hear are garbage. Getting a real kick out of the beer ads of late... "If Philadelphia was the city of brotherly like, I'd be on the first train to Pittsburgh."
